An Eagles/Steve Young Cover
Is it the English counterpart to the German song „Über sieben Brücken musst du gehn“ or as the author means only a „…song about a girl and a road in south Alabama“?
In any case, it is a great song that is played by a great band every now and then as an opener of concerts. Listen on the equally great album Eagles Live from 1980. Meanwhile, there is also a live version of 2018. Unfortunately, this drops sharply in direct comparison.
The song always reminds me of the time when we spent a lot of time listening to music in Kornburg, which is located southeast of Nuremberg, in the basement of the residence of our then drummer and the first attempts to make music. We have always been accompanied by the great live albums Just One Night and of course Made in Japan.
